As founder of MidAtlantic Retirement Planning Specialists (MARPS), Thom is responsible for maintaining existing relationships, cultivating new client engagements, and overseeing our advisors. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware, his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation (CFP®) from the College for Financial Planning and his Accredited Investment Fiduciary designation (AIF) through the Center for Fiduciary Studies. Thom currently serves the University as a member of the Advisory Board for the Financial Planning and Wealth Management Major. The major is offered through the Lerner Business School at the University of Delaware. Thom and his wife Stephanie have endowed two scholarships at the University of Delaware (one in Athletics and one in the Financial Planning Major). Both scholarships are for students who are first generation college students. Thom previously served the University of Delaware Alumni Association as an Executive Board member. Thom also coached a Delaware High School State Basketball Championship at the Sanford School in 1991. Thom serves on the Board of Trustees of the Delaware Art Museum where he chairs the Finance Committee. Thom is a Rotarian with Caesar Rodney Rotary Club in Wilmington. Thom lives in Wilmington with his wife Stephanie. They have two daughters and a son (and a daughter-in-law). He enjoys Philadelphia Sports and University of Delaware Athletics. He enjoys great food and tailgating. Thom is a Registered Representative with Kestra Investment Services, LLC and an Investment Advisor Representative with Kestra Advisory Services, LLC.

Davis graduated from the University of Delaware where he obtained a degree in Financial Planning and Wealth Management while serving as a member of the UD men’s basketball team. Before joining MidAtlantic Retirement Planning Specialists (MARPS) in April of 2024, Davis was a Financial Advisor at Vanguard. At MARPS, Davis serves as a Financial Planner while maintaining existing relationships and cultivating new client engagements. Davis lives in West Chester, PA and enjoys supporting the University of Delaware athletic teams. 

Ricky Gannett

In 2019, Ricky started his college education and athletic experience at Randolph-Macon College, playing baseball and studying Economics. In 2021, Ricky transferred to the University of Delaware to continue his education. Ricky started with MidAtlantic Retirement Planning Specialist (MARPS) as an intern in the summer of 2023. In the fall of 2024, he graduated with a B.A. in Economics from the University of Delaware and has joined the MARPS team full-time. Ricky also helps coach baseball at Saint Marks High School. Ricky lives in Newark, DE and enjoys spending his time at the shore.

Maddie Weber

Maddie joined MidAtlantic Retirement Planning Specialists as an intern during her senior fall semester in 2024 and returned full-time in the fall of 2025 after earning her B.S. in Financial Planning and Wealth Management from the University of Delaware. She is passionate about helping individuals and families build secure financial futures and loves developing strong relationships with clients. During her time at Delaware, Maddie was an active member of the Sigma Kappa sorority and a bartender at Deer Park Tavern on Main Street. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time at the beach, cooking, and cheering on her Philadelphia sports teams.

Shannan McMann

Shannan has been the Administrative Assistant for MARPS since November 2012. She was previously with the company for three years, from 2002–2005. Shannan has previous experience as an administrative assistant and working with credit unions, and currently handles paperwork, scheduling, and other administrative tasks for MARPS. Shannan was born in Florida, but moved to Delaware in 1984, where she currently resides. She graduated from Newark High School in 1992. Shannan enjoys spending time with her family and going to the gym.
